I hate racists responsible for browser-incompatibily August 5, 2007

“Who are the racists responsible for browser-incompatibility? Kill ‘em all – one by one – in a really really painful way.” These lines were censored from a post in a thread in the wordpress support forum.
Why the authority killed these words – one by one – that I don’t know. Why would they want us to keep silent about the issue? My guess is they are also people who support browser-incompatibility. In one way or another, they do really – for better or for worse – by supporting Browse-happy, which showcases several non-ie browsers.
Now, I have nothing against Browse-happy. On the contrary, given the fact that browsing with Internet Explorer makes your computer unsafe, I whole-heartedly support their initiative to promote other browsers. To learn more visit Browse-happy.
The question isn’t about internet explorer, other browsers, Browse-happy or WordPress. It’s about seeking a common ground. Some things are better without variations; we need some constants in order to avoid confusion. For example, two times two is always for – unless, of course, you err or do some mathematics behind my back.
That’s it! That is the issue really. Things take place behind your back. When’s the last time you were asked about your opinion on how browsers should behave? Do you think such polls exist, but you somehow missed it?
Oh, please, let’s not be so forgiving. We live in the age of advertisements. Advertising seems to be the raison d’etre, the driving force anywhere you look – be it internet, radio, tv or newspaper. When’s the last time you came across a banner asking what YOU think of browser-compatibility issues?
Something strange is going on. Guess what, it is just another story about corporate giants. Whenever you have questions about them, you can always smell a rat. Well, what else can be the output of this money-grubbing rat-race anyway?
I can only keep on living as a hopeless hopeful and sing along with Air Supply (or was it Scorpions?):
“[…] we all live
Under the same Sun,
Under the same Moon,
Wh-y-y-y can’t we live as One.”

Your words might have been censored because of your use of the term “racists”. Browser incompatibility hardly measures up to the level of blind hatred implied by racism, and your evaluation of the two as equal could be seen as trying to start a flamewar.
Personally, i found the statement at the time to be childish and offensive, but i refrained from responding. The fact that you are still using such logic and shouting it from the rooftops is what has prompted me to come here and comment now.
for anyone having an issue about the word RACIST – please be kind enough to read it between imaginary quatation marks.
thanks!
@judyb12,
the world has different people in it! you refrained from commenting before, but i clearly remember someone not only quoted it in the next post, but also said ‘lol’! perhaps sometimes it’s better not to take things too literally!
