My life has been quantified by one of those know-it-all quizzes.

    71.1/100Rate My Life

RateMyLife.net - Find out if you suck at life

Apparently I am not a bad guesser myself. The last question was how I rate my own life (1 to 10) and I gave myself a 7. Wondering what it takes to score a perfect 10.

Is it even mandatory to have a perfect 10?

Let’s blame it on the Govt! September 19, 2007

Today is the the LAST day  for submitting my painting for my group exhibit in Japan. But I don’t have a single one ready as yet. All the required sized images are gone! And I can only think of one explanation. They are locked up in my classroom! Let’s blame it on the Govt, yeah! After all, following an unrest my uni has shut down and won’t open before the 28th of this month. And I kept those paintings in the classroom because that’s where we keep our stuff. Of course, some are at my home. But size does matter here! Sigh….

It’s midnight and I have been struggling for hours to create a perfect storm. My series is stormy.   But as luck would have it, my freshly bought paint is of a different brand and a tad too sticky. It’s not maleable enough. So the storm isn’t looking stormy enough.

And why am I blogging under these circumstances? O c’mon, let me chill for a while.  Ok, that’s enough to set me off on a  guilt trip. What the hell am I doing here? My brushes are getting dry!

‘Til later!

Minutes after I published this post…….GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? i found those artworks! Damn, if I knew, I would have blamed the Govt earlier!

(updated………..as I already said, minutes later)

Ego tripping - Matt visited my wordpress.com blog “Netty Gritty” two days in a row! September 17, 2007

Oh, God! What a way to go ego tripping, right? Bloggers are a strange species altogether. They like to show how many hits they got, how many spam comments their Akismet caught (in case you don’t know, it’s the new status thing - many spams caught means your blog is really making it), what their Technorati ranking is etc. I don’t know if anyone does it in my way, heh heh! Maybe Frank Sinatra will like it (remember the song “I did it my way”?) :D

Matt Mullenweg

You are most like Matt Mullenweg!

You are most like Matt Mullenweg. Though you recognize your authority, you do not relish the idea of using your power too aggressively. Instead, you rely on peers a lot. You do participate in the social media world, but it is not something that occupies a lot of time. You most likley devote yourself to projects that you feel passionate about and tend to evangelize those things quite a bit.

This is definitely a quiz result that I totally agree with.

I am just curious about how Matt answered those questions. If he answered like me then he doesn’t own a Blackberry, it’s not like he has meetings and makes sure everyone knows about them (for example, “Man, I have back to back to back meetings for 5 days straight”), he did not stand in line for the iphone, he owns Windows (not Linux or Mac), if he has to choose between Boston Red Fox and New York yankees he chose the latter, he drinks tea, not coffee, he doesn’t drink, he subscribes to “vanity” search on his name(i.e. Google Alerts, search engine search feed, etc), he doesn’t Tweeter, …more than 25 times a day(Twitter), he doesn’t have a show on the internet (podcast or videocast) that has some portion of his name or trademark in it, he tries to get free stuff and he does not own his name as a Domain.

Although I like the test result it’s not like all the answers are true. For example, I am not a fan of either Boston Red Fox or New York Yankees (I was forced to choose one) and I don’t subscribe to a vanity search  (I thought they asked if I ever Googled myself!)

Whatever, it doesn’t concern me much! I’m too happy to care! :D

….then others can read me. And give me a title. And describe me as well.

You’re Adventures of Huckleberry Finn!by Mark Twain With an affinity for floating down the river, you see things in black
and white. The world is strange and new to you and the more you learn about it, the less
it makes sense. You probably speak with an accent and others have a hard time
understanding you and an even harder time taking you seriously. Nevertheless, your
adventurous spirit is admirable. You really like straw hats.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

Let’s see if I agree…

1. Excuse me? I have never floated down the river. But um…does stream of consciousness count? Hey! I have a very good eye for colour!

2. True!

3. Who doesn’t have an accent? Sometimes….excuse me?

4. Thank you!

5. I have four - both natural and synthetic; not made of straw, but strawlike material. So is that a thumbs up?

You know somewhere in the internet I read a comparison between Huck Finn’s life decisions and modern-day marketing. It said something like his strategy is well-suited to be adopted in today’s mad world. If you come across it, do nudge me!
